September 10 -14, 2018 is National Arts In Education Week.

Designed to enhance rather than replace a quality arts education, the National PTA® Reflections ProgramSM provides opportunities for students to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts.

For more than 40 years, this national program has encouraged millions of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to create works of art. The Reflections Program was started in 1969 by then Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson.

The PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation in this annual Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition.

The theme for the 2018 - 2019 School Year is: "Heroes Around Me"

Students in Pre-School through 12th Grade are encouraged to create and submit works of art in the following six (6) areas:

  • Dance Choreography
  • Film Production
